CA AR Configurations: Are They Worth It???

I don't feel shorted in any way with a CA built AR.

just curious how does a bullet button work?

The ejection button has a shroud around it with a small hole in the center not allowing you to release the mag with your finger. Instead you must use a tool such as a bullet or something similar to insert through the small hole allowing you to depress the button and remove your 10 rd mag.

Does anyone feel like, "If I can't have the real thing why settle for any less"? Just want to know if those with CA AR configurations feel like they are compromising(fixed 10 round magazines etc..). I understand the "let's just make one because F$#% them!" mentality but are there ways to make them better or at least equal to the "illegal" ones? I don't own an AR but would like to sometime in the near future. Do CA AR configurations compromise too much or are there ways to make them just as effective as the real ones? Just curious. Thank you.

Having seen both registered ("full-evil") ARs and post-ban ARs run side by side at run and gun style competition, I don't see where the featureless guns give up a bit of performance to the rifles with all the evilness attached. The MMG- and U15-equipped rifles are just as functional as rifles with a pistol grip.

Funny story: I was in Texas and was looking at the coolness of a friend's EOtech. He had to point out that I was in Texas, and could therefore put my thumb on the left side of the rifle.

I've got two bad *** monsterman builds....It's all i know, i think a regular pistol grip would feel weird at this point...I'm not missing anything having a fixed stock and brake/non flash hider.

I'm just overjoyed to be able to have what I've got.
