Should I start stocking up on ammo...?

My question basically is: Are online/Internet ammo sales going to be more difficult in the future?

I buy 99% of my ammo online, but I've been reading for a while now that there is legislation in the works to make it much more difficult.

I haven't been following the current state of law, but is there a good chance it will be significantly more difficult to order ammo online in Cali?

if so, I might start stocking up on surplus ammo.

you should always have plenty of ammo...do you hav eover 10,000 rounds?

what do you consider stocking up? I bought 5,000 rounds of 7.62 nato at 11 cents around 5 years ago..I should of bought 3x that..

If its a good deal..buy. I think its worth its weight

    BEANS-BULLETS-BUllION..in that order for me

depends on where you live when buying online.. Teh Ammo Depot in Rancho Cordova is about even if you get free shipping on line- If not..they are better deal

They're the shop that just opened up right?

Their prices are decent, for sure, but I can still get 7.62x39 cheaper online.

I should obviously keep adding to my ammo, but if an online ban is in the future I'd prioritize what sort of ammo I buy first (e.g. I only buy 7.62x39 online so if I knew it might be harder to buy online in the future, I'll prioritize 7.62x39 over 9mm, for example)

So I guess my question is more so whether I should change how I prioritize ammo on the assumption that an Internet ban is in the future?

        Sorry about the confusion.

ammo is great to have if you are staying in one place. but if you gotta leave... how much can you carry

I've tried doing that but I can't keep myself from shooting it

Ah the ammo hoarding question. If you want to know how much ammo you need, get a backpack, fill it up with all the ammo you have, and see how far you can walk/run with it. That might help your decision a little.

Should you be stocking up? Absolutely but probably not why most do.

When there is a sale. Buy and then buy more. Ammo prices only go up. Heck I'm still shooting 7.62X39 that cost me $60.00 a case.

Buy it on sale and stack it. There is no worse feeling in the world than going shooting and watching your bullet stash dwindling away to nothing. Then you realize that without ammo. Your gun is just a hunk of metal/plastic.

Along with the bulk ammo, invest in a reloading press and components. Brass, powder, primers, dies for your calibers. Oh, and boolits.

Better to have it and not need it. Than to need it and not have it.

If you have less than a few boxes for the primary guns, pick up a few more the next time it goes on sale.

When the price is REALLY good, get LOTS. Ammo doesn't get cheaper, and it's easy to sell for less than a 10% loss or no loss depending on how much you paid for it.
