    Colorado gun laws

I'm moving to Colorado soon and was wondering if anyone could help me with their gun laws. Google searches weren't much help. Is there mag capacity laws, do I need bulletbuttons/mag locks, is there a minimum length requirement. Mainly I'm concerned with my AK and whether or not I can take off the stupid maglock and buy some 30 round mags.

It's a free state brother...... enjoy what you have. The only weirdness is in the city limits of Denver where they consider any magazine of more than 20 rounds to be part of an "assault weapon" and therefore illegal.

The city of Denver has its own assault weapons law as posted above. It was worse and then loosen up a bit. Here is a link to the laws.

I just moved here like three months ago. Off with the bullet button and on with whatever capacity mag you want.

Where about are you moving to? I'm in Lakewood. Send me a PM when you get here and we'll go shooting.

Oh, and check out Machine Gun Tours in Lakewood. They're a Class III dealer and have some really cool toys and great prices.

Denver has an archaic and rarely enforced AWB of sorts. The rest of it is very liberal in its gun and carry laws. My CCW was easy to get, took about 60 days from start to finish, and cost $110. If you are ever in the front range area, check out Jensen Arms in Loveland. They are my class III dealer, lots of suppressors and black guns.

As far as your AK, as long as you aren't moving to Denver, go ahead and buy some 100rd Drums for the bad boy.

Don't think I can afford any classIII stuff, hopefully later down the road though. Drum mags, man I'm going to be broke from buying ammo, but at least i'll be happy and broke

Thanks for all the responses everybody.
