I am so tired of this form over function BS. You'd think they could give a junior olympian a pass..but no, they'd rather ruin her academic record so they can stand by their "zero tolerance" policy.

    Letter to superintendent being written.

Sucks but that's the way it is now. You really have to hide everything in your car (ear protection, shooting glasses, etc..) or you can be harassed for anything firearm related.

We need to call the school, district, and city mayor. This is terrible. I suggest that we use the info at the bottom of the post to let them know how we feel on this issue. I contribute to the USA Shooting Teams so that our Olympians can continue to reach for Gold.

I know this is off topic, and I'm upset with the way things are going now days. But what is up with her recoil-pad on the end of her stock on that shotty? Looks like its about to fall off. Like someone tried to glue it back on for the photo and its just failing at that moment. Oozen back towards earth.
Look at the tyranny of party -- at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty -- a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes -- and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits, and all the while their masters, and they themselves are shouting rubbish about liberty, independence, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech, honestly unconscious of the fantastic contradiction... It's an adjustable buttstock and is probably EXACTLY where she wants it, to assist her in mounting the shotgun properly.

When you shoot a competition grade gun, you fit the gun to the shooter. Those competition grade shotguns have all kinds of adjustments that aid the shooter in getting it to a specific point every time. Your Mossy doesn't have that feature since it's a one size fits most. On those specialty guns they generally are fitted to the person shooting it. She probably shoot from a low gun position and that probably makes it easier to shoulder in a hurry and get just the right angle before she breaks the clay(s).

A small amount of cased ammunition without a firing device is pretty low on my list of dangerous objects.

It's a Morgan adjustable recoil pad. They don't make them like that anymore, but it was state of the art 25 years ago. The "new" (non-Morgan) adjustable pads can be rotated out as well as lowered, for optimum placement of the stock as well as quick shouldering; and more importantly to prolonged shooting, optimum placement of recoil while leaving your comb in the same place for sighting. The new Morgan's are all plastic and less durable, ~$25, but still a useful improvement to a basic clays gun.
