    Magpul sold/bought out...

I'm just a bit confused about who bought Magpul, BRS or Triangle Capital Corp...

BRS Announces Investment in Magpul Industries Corp.

Triangle Capital Corporation Invests $14.8 Million in Magpul Industries Corp.

    Hmmmm... Interesting enough...

It reads more like they're just loaning capital, not buying stock.

These two firms simply invested in Magpul. Magpul has not been "bought" by anyone.

Thanks CHS (for moving it [if you did]).

My reading of this is that either Magpul needed capital to increase their production capacity or possibly create a new product line or else the founders are trying to cash out.

Cashing out is not a horrible thing to do, it might allow management to take more aggressive risks with the company.

How do two articles clearly indicating investments, equate to "buyout" or selling the company?

The thread title is extremely misleading(it's a flatout lie).

In fact, it's an equity investment by BRS, a private equity firm. Triangle is simply helping to finance the deal: "Integris Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to Magpul in this transaction. SunTrust Bank, Regions Bank and Triangle Capital provided financing for the transaction."

In this industry, $14.8 million is a pretty significant investment. It probably represents a large proportion of Magpul's equity.
