FFL Advice

I'm thinking of getting my FFL and setting up shop.

Any tips, hints, advice, do's and dont's?

The Federal, State and City web sites are no help.

It would be out of my residence in Chula Vista, CA. I know I need a DBA, EIN, a city business license and police approval, FFL, Cert of Compliance. I cannot find what else. I dont want to piss of the ATF or locals.

First, ask this in the FFL forum.

It is not hard to do. Check with your city and or county first. Do not spend any money till they say ok first. It will take over 6 months for ever thing.
To save money just use your name do not need a DBA for this.
