I bet that ammo is sitting in boxes marked Xe now.
That is completely backwards. When it comes to resources, marines are like the step child. Army always gets all the sweet ****, when marines get the hand me downs. It's funny, at the end of the fiscal year around october the base (pendleton) goes completely quiet. and as soon as the next fiscal year starts is Boom, BOOM, *shaking*, Boom (used to live out the back gate)
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

We use to go through more than that by lunch time when I was at Bragg.

The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

14k rounds is a good amount for a single individual, but its just a really fun weekend or two for a dozen buddies. The reporter must not know much about guns to think this was at all important.
