For a second, I was thinking of how someone could lose a gun.

It's really not hard to misplace a gun or two every once in a while. I've been know to do it. It's actually a good feeling to find guns that you completely forgot you even owned. Tujungatoes and his better half were at my place once and witnessed me do just that. I opened an old job box that had been sitting in my driveway for a year and a half and found an old Stevens 30-30. I had found it in a barn years ago, threw it in the job box with some old stocks when I moved and completely forgotten about it.

Although not with one of my guns, thankfully, I have had the same thing happen with my car keys and hat. Keys were in my hand, and hat was on my head. Somehow the brim in my peripheral wasn't a giveaway.

LOL...one of my co-workers shared a story about how she was speaking to her mom on her cell phone. I guess she was getting ready to leave while talking to her, so she was preparing all of her stuff (wallet, keys, makeup, tampons, whatever else girls put in their purses). She starts to freak out because she can't find her cell phone anywhere and she expresses this to her mother. Her mom calmly replies.....aren't you using it to talk to me right now?

Remember. You lost that gun in a tragic boating accident. You didn't find it because it's at the bottom of that one lake.
