New shooting range in Orange County -Stanton

Was excited by the opening of this range.

But at only 25 yards and membership fees, I'll probably stick with The Firing-Line.

Yeah, but it's perfect to get a good zero on a new rifle at 8pm after work on a friday so you can go out shooting Saturday and not have to spend the morning sighting-in at random distances.

Except you can't just show up to On-target and expect to be able to shoot your rifles.

You have to plan out your visit for a weekend when they have their rifle class, take the class, pay a fee, then you get your rifle card and THEN you can finally shoot rifles at their range.

yea my rifle card expired and im having a hard time getting down there on sundays to retake their test so i can shoot a gd rifle

Looks good, I just submitted a membership request for the silver membership, same price as Insight was, but better perks and I get to bring my rifles if I want to.

I would never join a local range because they're far too restrictive. I want to use my holster and practice shooting as I would in real life. The 1 shot per second, and other rules might be fine for a new shooter, but I'm far passed that point.

So i went to the range the other day and its far from being finshed! I
mean I walked in a little they are still doing construction and its suppose to open in Feb. 14. YA RIGHT! They are gunna push it back another month! So not worth it, and no one pick up there phones how do they expect to do business?? Ive talked to the owner of Field Time and he said its not his company except its a sister one with same partners but different owners. I dont think the range owner knows what hes doing cause hes never been in the industry unlike bob who i have known for forever n knows how to run a business. Lets just say who knows whats gunna happen to this range thier just building themsleves for a disater. Oh well i guess you learn from your mistakes.

Having another range in Orange County is a good thing. I've got no troubles at all waiting for the place to open and iron out any kinks they run into. I trust that many local enthusiasts will enjoy visiting. That is all.

I would prefer that the range have a grand opening done right ONCE, than to open up with issues after issues.

So if they push it back in order to open up RIGHT, good!! Big thumbs up from me! We don't have that many ranges in OC, so I can wait just a little longer for one more.
