    Dogs that guard your guns

Inspired from one of the threads on 1911forum...who has some good doggies that guard their guns?

Here's my rottie Taktik about 5 months ago, chewing on his tire, and even though he speaks German, he's so American he was born on the 4th of July

Yesterday my poor little guy had to have surgery to remove a foxtail that worked it's way from his nose all the way to almost his hip, but thankfully he's doing really good and has more energy than I thought he would

Sorry to hear he had to get surgery. I'm sure he will be back up and running in no time.

Wow. Maybe you should have him take it easy for a little.

LOL I should, but he knows when it's time to come in and sleep, he's doing that now lol I don't even think he notices he got "shanked" yesterday other than he knows he wants to lick at his drain tubes

Good looking rottie. I have a full German rottie, he's 3.5 yrs old, who guards the house. He's a big baby if I introduce you to him. He's very protect of our property and my family so I'd hate to be an intruder coming face to face with him in my house.

Thanks, I love rotties, grew up around them, my grandpa raised and trained them for Alameda County SO when he was a deputy with them (back when they used rotties of course), which is where I got my affinity for them. Mine's about the same way, right now (well, the surgery has put a halt on training for a while) he's learning to knock people down when he's commanded to go after someone, he FLEW over about 8 steps just a few days ago (I think it was Sunday) in pursuit against a target and didn't miss a beat

great pictures and wonderful dogs. my pit Fester passed away 4/29/11 of bladder cancer; broke my heart. he was my wonderful friend and companion for 13 years. my rott Poki (Festers wife) was severely depressed for many months after Fester died. i had him cremated and he is home with us.

1 1/2 weeks ago Remy arrived! he is a 3 month old male pit. game on! Poki is back in the saddle again... and loving her baby boy.
