Haha no - I just wanna make sure he doesn't recommend me body armor he knows that will not stop a .22! I was kidding around.

As far as why I want it, there are a couple reasons:

1) It is good to have just in case, especially for the price.
2) I know an employee of a shooting range who got shot accidental, maybe I would wear it during range time. (Thus Class IIA, it's light and hopefully pretty unnoticeable)
3) In my line of work I have to go meet with different kinds of people in different kinds of areas I would not like to go down to, even armed. I figured Class IIA would protect me from the most common gang rounds used. 22LR & Short, .32, .380, 9mm, and 40. I doubt anyone crack heads or such would be shooting at me with a .45 or a long gun. (I am always pretty aware of my surroundings) - little white dudes in nice cars going down to the hood to negotiate marketing/advertising/promotions with a rapper, DJ, etc. Is not very fun. Most of the time when dealing with musical groups they have a studio in a bad part of town because of the drastic price difference.

anyone have any recommendations for some IIIA concealable body armor with pockets for ballistic plates?

With the plates, your armor will not be concealable anymore.

weird - because I just walked in there and picked that one up and it fit me perfectly, it actually felt very comfortable. I think it might even help with posture. Class IIA Safariland Small Regular.
