    Walk me through a PPT...

So I have never done a FTF PPT before and was wondering what to expect? At what point is the cash exchanged? What forms of ID and paperwork is needed?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am the seller in this situation.

Cash exchanged usually at the time of meet -

You have a valid CA ID -

That's it - Take new money and buy another gun -

I've been more on the buying end of PPTs. I usually do the cash exchange after the paperwork is filled out and the seller has signed his part.

Some shops don't want to see or have you do the cash exchange in their stores and prefer you do that out of sight of them with the buyer/seller. I recently did one, we did it in the parking lot.

In the end, the buyer will really be the one doing most all of the paperwork.

Some buyers like to inspect the firearm before handing over the cash, I dont have a problem with that.

As posted above some shops will get pissed if you do the cash exchange inside their shop. Walking outside the door and doing the cash exchange outside and then coming back in and completing paperwork feels kind of strange but some shops insist on it.

Does anyone know why they do this I never bothered to ask?

Some times the ffl will require a car registration to validate the address on the CA diver lic. Or a utility bill.

+1 AMMO BROS just did a PPT this morning and they wanted second form ID car registration. (and I paid cash to the seller right in front of the guy behind the counter....maybe he didnt notice maybe he did?)

              EDIT: I was the buyer.

Seller: Walk in meet the person wait till your called to the counter by a worker, tell him you want to PPT he will then check your weapon and "clear" it, let the buyer inspect the weapon if he likes it tell the guy lets start the paper work, then hand your ID/CDL fill out the paper work and receive payment that was agreed to.

Buyer: Walk in meet the person wait till your called to the counter by a worker, tell him you want to PPT he will then check your weapon and "clear" it, check the weapon to see if you like it, if you are pleased then tell the guy lets start the paper work, then hand your ID/CDL & second form of ID, fill out the paper work and "pay the man his money!" (Russian Jonhn Molkovich accent cant remember the name of the movie) that was agreed to.

Maybe they do not like people doing business in their shop, just a thought
