    LA Area Gun Stores

I'm relatively new to the south bay/westside, and have frequented mainly Turners, and Ammo Brothers when I want to take the trip that far. Can anyone recommend any other places of business in this area (if there are any others)...and your thoughts.

Mainly for ammo, once and a while for another firearm.

    Thanks!

New place opened in Torrance on PCH, I think not far from Hawthorne and PCH. Forgot the name though.

I stumbbled across a shop today in Culver City that is one of the largest stocking gun shop I have been to in SoCal... Check out Martin Retting. To bad I had my wife with me it was too short of a visit... lol I will be heading back there soon.
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you may never need one again.

The new shop in South Torrance is called CrosshairsUSA. I went down there last week and the shop is clean and the employee's seem polite and knowledgeable at the very least. Worth a look.

They carry Glock, Sig, Springfield, S&W they sell Winchester white box ammo, and its not cheap, but there's a lot of it.

Martin B Retting is expensive. It also has a few employees who are less than helpful. Some of them are pretty good, however, they have a decent selection, and they occassionally have a really good deal. I mostly just go there for the occassional cleaning supply or when they have a deal on premium ammo of some kind.

I browse it frequently however because its walking distance from my place.

MBR is neat place to go look around. They have been there forever, since before WWII. I bought a rifle there once a couple years ago and way overpaid. Now I shop around, but I still go in everytime I have to go down to the west side.

don't know. i usually pick up a few boxes of ammo and look at their used handguns; i've seen some good prices on used handguns at Bain & Davis.

i've also always been treated well there. that little shop gets busy during the lunch hours throughout the week! they still always find a way to assist those that want assistance, and not pressure folks that are just browsing around.

if you want to go further east on the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10), Alamo Jewelry & Loan is on azusa Ave. in west covina. they've got some interesting stuff in there, and my trips there (including receiving out of state transfers and making gun purchases from Alamo) have all been positive.

Man, you got that right! These are the guys that know the store is full of customers, but they are doing something else. In retail, the customer always comes first, the other stuff can wait. They must be family and can get away with it.
