Not too much in LEO, unless you become a department Armorer. Even then you'll be required to take Glock's Advanced Armorers' course.

Don't worry how "bad" the test is. If it isn't hard it isn't worth doing right? As long as you are competent safe person with firearms and tiny spring-loaded parts and you have the ability to learn and pay attention in class you'll do fine. I took the class on the 14th in Camarillo with Dennis Tueller along with locosway. If the class schedule allows, try to take one of his classes he put on a very very good class. You do get a lot of very good knowledge out of the class, even I learned a few very good pieces of information that I have never heard anywhere else. Not Youtube, Department Armorer's, or even Gun store Scuttlebutt(I hear too much of that being a FFL employee). Even a few juicy bits of information about Glock's latest ventures. The class is very well worth taking, even with the price tag. You gotta pay to play, and people who don't wanna pay don't get to play.

Go try the class, you'll have a good time. The class was worth it for me even through I spent a total of 8.5 hours on the 405 N/S round-trip.

Where were you sitting in the class? I'm trying to put a face to the username. I know you know who I was, unfortunately making myself overly known twice.

Left side of the room (door side) near the back. I was in front of the two people with black Glock shirts on (man and woman). I was wearing a black Quicksilver shirt.

Ah ok, behind the few Mixon Employees? I'm pretty sure I remember you.

Lol, I still kick myself for misunderstanding Tueller's question.... "Sig!"

I spent more hours driving to the class then I did sleeping that night.... not my most pleasant morning.

Sig's is the next Armorer's course I'm taking, and it's being held in Orange which is perfect. No more freeways, I could walk if I wanted.

Or you could go to www.dynamictrainingconcepts.com and take their one day class for a lot less money, and it's local.

I could replace all the parts on my Glocks before the class, but I had no idea about how to diagnose certain issues. If someone wants to learn, and they can afford the class, I would suggest it. Especially if they're going to work on other peoples guns.
Thanks buddy! I'm just trying to get an idea of how it will go down and stuff. I would love something local but every single CA and Nevada one is within a week and/or LEO only :/.

I dont mind driving up to oregon, got family there.

                          Where are you at?

Edit: Wow, you weren't kidding... I guess I did the last class in CA that was open to GSSF members. You may have to wait until next year or you could try contacting the hosting agency of one of the armorer courses and tell them you're a GSSF member and see if they'll let you in. I doubt it, but it's worth a try.

Those are my two main pistols, I want the Sig one bad to but its a tad more expensive and being a college student makes this hard to do along with a full time job. When is the orange county class? How many days?

I trust the glocktraining website. I already know how to take the striker unit and spring cups, but I like knowning how to do everything and function tests since I'm more familiar with other pistols.
