    Glock armorer course

I'm about to get my gssf membership paid and setup and was going to register for my first armorer course. Has anyone done the glock one? Howd you like it?

I'm looking forward to getting certified. It'll help me when I get into the industry or leo. In any case, how bad is the final test? Do they go over just about everything?

I found it very helpful. There's another thread on the topic you could search for. The test at the end is no problem. The guy sitting next to me and I both scored 100% and neither of us had previous armorer experience.

Good to know. Its my first one too. Do I need more than just my glock, empty mag and punch?

Everything is provided, including the firearm. All you need to bring is an open mind.

Oh wow good deal. I wasn't sure if I needed to bring my glock or if they let you use theirs. Very good to know!

If you take their course, will you then be certified as a Glock Armorer? Or are there more steps that you need to do in order to be come one?

                      Download the armors manual online.
Watch 3 or 4 hours of the glock you tube videos.
Sit there and play with your glock the entire time.
I have just saved you a bunch of money and half a day at least and you will know damn near as much as the certified glock armorer’s.

Pay the fee, sit thru the class, pass the test. Wait for the Cert in the mail. Your now a Glock Certified Armorer.

They will provide a Glock for you to use in class, along with a mag. No, you cant leave with it. They will provide you with the manual, pens, Glock tool, pin, etc that you can take home.

Unfortunately this is not 100% true, and without being certified a lot of people won't let you monkey around with their guns. There are certain things you will learn in class that you won't learn from watching youtube, etc.

I could replace all the parts on my Glocks before the class, but I had no idea about how to diagnose certain issues. If someone wants to learn, and they can afford the class, I would suggest it. Especially if they're going to work on other peoples guns.
