I remember seeing some pics from Iran right after the Revolution where a couple of people were carrying Uzis. I found it interesting/curious enough to ask the professor about it during class, it got laughs when I pointed out that it was an Israeli gun but not much else .

        That's the one.

The machineries for the production of the TARIQ pistol were sold by BERETTA in the end of the '70s, when the Italian firm definitely ceased the production of the "original" guns that the TARIQ pistols copy: the .9mm M-951 and the .32-ACP M-70.

+1 CavTrooper, yes, those are Tariqs, junk guns, but can be "blinged" out. In regards to Kestrylls observation, they are very similar to Helwans. I have a couple of Tariq's if anyone ever wants to shoot one. After shooting a tariq, you will think a *cough* Hi-Point is a great gun!

            STORMFEATHER-

If you ever want to part with one of those Tariq pistols, or know anyone else who would, please let me know. I didnt carry one in Iraq, that would be against the rules, but if I had, having one here at home would certainly be an excellent momento!
