    You can have a door that opens in, it just has to be openable from the inside in an emergency... New construction requires you to have a door that opens outward in a business(does not apply to homes) but they do not make you retrofit existing doors.... I think the rule went into effect sometime in the late 80's...

      A locking mag door would not have saved the life of the pawn shop owner shot two weeks ago nearby, but would have caught the killers. The robbers visited the pawn shop the day before the robbery to check out the store and one of them was photographed. Maybe they wouldn't have returned the next day to kill the pawn shop owner if they realized they would be locked in the store until the cops came. The same thing would apply to Irvington Arms.
