Safety of GunBroker.com?

Bought numerous weapons off of Gunbroker and Auction Arms - no problems - Most of the sellers had alot of feedback. YMMV

I did notice years ago someone trying to sell weapons using pics from books, but his auctions were withdrawn rather rapidly.

Check feedback carefully. Do a google search on the store/seller. If there's no additional fee for c.c. you have better protection using a c.c. (ie you never receive it or it's not as described).

when you buy from a vendor on Gunbroker it would be advisable to do the following: 1) check feedback of seller; not just the numbers, but what people have to say about this seller. 2) ask important questions prior to bidding, and have them answered before bidding. 3) read and understand the seller's terms and Gunbroker's rules prior to bidding. 4) if pictures shown are not to your satisfaction, ask for more before bidding. 5) save all communication with seller until item is in your hand; emails and other.

The only problem I have encountered is sellers listing CA Legal items for auction but 'not for sale to CA'. A phone call or PM will sometimes do the trick as sellers sometimes use the same format for all auctions. So the scope auction has the same disclaimers at the bottom as the class 3 UZI.

Other than that same caveats as Ebay: do your homework and pay with a CC if possible.
