I'd be interested in this also... In my case, it could be run off either AC or batteries, but must have switch.

Ideally, I'd have a perimeter of LED's stuck to the inside of the door opening- facing inward.

I bought a few packs of these from Costco a couple of months ago when they were only $14 each. I knew these would sell out quick and discontinue once they sold out, and sure enough they did like a week later (I picked up 8 sets, and with Costco I can always return what I don't use years down the road).

These are great and they are very bright. You can hook up as many lights as you want (from 1 puck to 20 pucks on the same switch), and the remote works from a good distance. I'm using 7 under my kitchen cabinets and 5 in my gun safe, a few in our bedroom closet, and in other places around the house.

don't think the OP is old enough for this accessory. if the safe fell on him and he survived... he's too young.

PS... The Clapper sucks. every time my dog barked the thing would turn on; if it was already on, the dog's barking would turn it off.

                          bark on; bark off.

I got tired of the battery lights.Always seemed dim and batteries died at bad times.Spent one Saturday wiring my safe.Installed an inlet.Required cutting a hole in the safe with a hole saw.Very noisy and not for the faint hearted.Wired to code on the inside with outlets for lights and goldenrod dehumidifier.

Whoa, that's a much better job than I did with mine. On the larger safe I installed a surge protector so I could hook up a LED rope light with an on/off switch & a goldenrod. LED rope light from Home Depot http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...3#BVRRWidgetID

On the smaller safe I stuck some velcro on a 12" florescent lamp bought from OSH http://www.osh.com/eng/product/12_in...t_lite/6477160 & it fit perfectly in the nook of the safe's ceiling & door frame. It can run on batteries or an adapter.

My brother has his setup like my larger safe but he installed a "refrigerator" type switch that turns on the rope light as soon as the door is opened.
Hope for the best, expect the worse... Does that make me an optimistic pessimist?!
