Now I appreciate you sharing this on a public forum for your love of your sons and firearms...but man, get them eye protection and give them a few more years!!! That grip on the Glock makes me SUPER cautious.

That's AWESOME!! I also have a 4 year old daughter that I'm going to be taking very soon. The wife's kinda fighting me on it a little though. Not because she doesn't want her to shoot, she kinda has this idea that she won't be her "little girl" anymore. I shall prevail.

Thanks. You answered my question before I asked it. Where to find safety glasses for kids.

I understand your point, but give the guy a break. No one is advocating that we establish a law that ear and eye protection must be worn when shooting. I would be the first to oppose such a law because it is not a proper function of government to dictate to us how to live our lives. However, not providing eye and ear protection for children, when they are cheap and available is bad judgment.

I'm just curious, but when was the last time that you had an AD? Based on your response, I guess it is inevitable that you will eventually have one.

Personally, I disagree with your post. Whereas it probably means nothing to you, I do see it as my responsibility to do everything I can to protect my kids while they are still too young to make good decisions for themselves. Yes, taking them shooting is a great opportunity to spend quality time with them, but it is still my responsibility to do everything that I can to protect them from possible harm, while trying to teach them a thing or two about a fun sport and about personal protection. The OP has great kids who appeared to have a great time. That is the most important thing. However, at the same time, the OP also learned a thing or two from his post and received some information on where to find the safety glasses that others suggested he get. Thus, it is still all good and a total win for him, his kids, and everyone reading this post.

Maybe your mom cared a great deal about you! I would say that she probably did even if you chose to not listen or got p****d when she was scolding you for something. Just sayin!

Thats great that you get them out to go shooting. Way better than them being video game couch potatoes.

While they do play video games, along with the shooting they also play baseball and soccer, and BOTH are in scouts....they don't have time to be couch potatoes.
