Everybody said everything I was going to say except; OP, you might try checking the davidson's gun genie deal for the gun you are looking for. You pay them a deposit and pay the rest at the gun store that they ship it to.

To the rest: I've already been to 15 shops from Northern California all the way down to San Diego. I'm shocked that Glock can't locate a product for a customer that's ready to purchase. Try calling a car manufacture ... ask them where you can find a specific vehicle with the options you want... they're tell you exactly which dealers have them, how many they have on the lot , and if they'll be receiving any in the future. Another example is you're looking for a product at Lowes, you ask an associate if they have any in stock, they'll tell you if they do or find some in their district at another store that has one. Modern Inventory software is crucial, I don't know how a company like Glock with the amount of sheer volume they sell can survive today without it. I'm not mad that they can't locate what I'm looking for, I'm pissed at the 4 Glock representatives I spoke with who where complete jerks over the phone. Their attitudes sucked.

You're not ready to purchase. You're ready to whine. If you were ready to purchase you'd be out buying a gun. You have no clue how the massively over regulated firearms industry works, especially if you're comparing them to car manufacturers and multimillion dollar home improvement chain stores. Good luck in your search.

You still won't tell us what you're looking for. Chances are if you do, plenty of members will jump on to tell you who has it in stock, unless of course you're looking for a 18 or 25.

The OP probably wanted the Glock 18. I find it hard to believe that 15+ gunshops don't have the one he wants in stock. Even if they didn't have that particular glock on stock, they could most certainly order it for you. That is unless.... the glock you want is the glock 18.
