yup...went to the first one last year. Maybe I will try this time the .50 cal if available. Bring lots of water, it sure is going to be hot.

I am going to go on Friday and test shoot some big stuff to decide if I want a 45-70, 375 HH or Ruger, or just stick with my original plan of 30-06.

I will be working sat and sun at the FTA booth.

HOT and DUSTY! Really like the idea of the event---went once several years ago---hot and dusty with wind---wish the location was better---have a good time!

Meh, hot as hell, expensive, no vendors. I know I know its not a gun show but it would be nice if there was stuff for sale there other than just turners. I did enjoy watching some guy try out the taser in the taser booth.

This is Turner's business, so Idoubt other vendors would be allowed to sell.

What's also funny is that every year, without missing it, both Crossroads of the west gun show and this sportsfair overlap. So have fun at the sports fair, then go to the gun show next day or vice versa.

I guess this year they are not going to have exhibition shooters. That was one of main attractions for me. (saw Leatham, Jarret, Bradley, Miculeck in the past.)

When do you guys think it's the best time to go? Meaning - less crowded. Would Friday be best?

Basically, are crowds an issue when I'm trying to test fire a gun? Thanks!

Yeah, this is a Raahauge's event where we'll have a Calguns booth this year.
Thread is here, Calgunners will be on the scene all weekend Volunteering their time. Look for them in their snazzy new polo's

We'll also have some shirts for sale as well as literature etc.

$12 to enter ($10 with coupon)

shooting costs depend on the item. Something like a .22lr may be a buck or two for a magainze full. Prices go up from there. Something like a .500S&W might be $2 per round.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
