I DROS'd 2 new handguns yesterday, a Glock 34 with Trijicon night sights, extended slide release, extended mag release, 3 1/2 pound trigger bar and (3) 17 round magazines, and a Smith & Wesson 629 with 6" barrel. The dealer filled out ATF multi handgun purchase form and I signed it. Picking them up on 20th.

This never made any sense to me. I mean you can be 18 to buy a rifle or shotgun and need to be 21 for a handgun. Nothing against younger (<21) firearm buyers but wouldn't it make sense to have any gun purchase require the buyer to demonstrate how to safely load and unload ANY firearm they bought?

It's California Gun Law. Why would you even think that good sense has anything to do with it?

It was thought up and written and re-written by legislators who had no knowledge or experience of guns and who never asked anyone with knowledge to comment on their proposed bills.

Deals were made, horses were traded, it passed the legislature and was signed by the governor and here we are.

You do know the story of the Bullet Button don't you? Someday you will lose your normal, inborn expectation that the Law of the Land should make sense.
