    Vortex vs Primary Arms

I am torn between A Sparc or the Micro dot

    what is better and why?

I am also open to other dots. I prefer a 2MOA

Hehe i think you'd get more traffic in the "Optics" section.

I have no experience with Vortex but I have two Primary Arms optics and they are very good optics for the price

Cant say anything for the other brand but my PA microdot is a very sturdy piece. Great value.

If you're just considering those two, they're basically the same. I'd go with the Primary Arms since its
              A. Less expensive
              B. Doesnt have crappy controls/buttons. I found the Vortex controls on the side to be such an awkward position. Setting it down, putting in a bag, etc. you can accidently turn it off or what not.

If you want to buy once and cry once, and never have to worry about it again just get the Aimpoint R1 or H1.

If I am going to spend money I would get an Eotech over any Aimpoint.
After all Eotech is the only true Hallo sight.

I don't know about the optic you are referring to but I have a vortex scope and it is a great optic and their customer service is excellent. I also have a primary arms m3 style red dot on my AR and it does well

Well I don't have s sparc but I do have a strike fire. The only thing I can add to this thread is that vortex has really really good customer service and stand by their products.

Vortex Sparc is pretty good for your money and great customer service.
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

I read that some Sparc have died on AK's
I wish there were torture tests of both.

I have a sparc on my AK mounted on an Ultimak rail. Its a nice piece of equipment and has ran flawlessly for over 1000 rounds. Never used a PA optic.
