If your talking about #12 ...we always have people leave it blank.. but yeah quite the confusing question.

I make sure I answer that and I always have to remind my FFL to put Hunting License on the next page (I forgot what number is that). Well I don't just remind him but I want to see him write it otherwise it will delay releasing my firearm.

Why would it delay the release of your firearm? I usualy don't finish filling all of that out until you leave and it most certainly doesn't get inputted into the computer. Unless your dealer is making you sit there why they do their paperwork, which is possible.

What has always confused me is no abbreviations are allowed but you can write N/A for the non-citizen stuff.

They can change the test all they want as long as the answer key stays the same

You are supposed to leave the non-citizen area blank, not put in NA.

I could have sworn that I saw somewhere that standard postal abbreviations could be used, but I can't find it.

Like you said.. they do allow the use of state abbreviations.
