    Shooting Qualifications for CCW

    Hi Everyone,

I just got my letter in the mail from the sheriff saying my CCW application was approved. I'm so happy, I'm about to jump out of my skin. I was reading about the next step and I signed up for my 8hr class through Power's Security Training. Does anyone know the minimum score needed to pass the class? I know I will pass it, but I'm just curious to know some info on the shooting test, as I can't find any. I know Craig and Becky will teach the laws, when to and not to present your weapon, (which I already know because I just got done with a Handgun class at Front Sight.) Any info will help. Thanks in advance, Craig

not sure about that one but i know LFI does 31 of 36 shots. 12 each at 3, 5 (or 7, cant remember), 15 yards and a reload after every six. super simple.

Depends on your issuing CLEO - each can have different tests, and different thresholds.

Just above pitiful. It's not that difficult.

We get to punch you if you fail.

But seriously, you might want to practice one handed shooting, strong and weak sides.

            +1 this...

I had never shot one handed weak side before I applied... went to the range to practice a bit and after a few rounds got comfortable with it... it felt so odd at first..
I'm ready for this craziness to be over...

                What's considered a "hit"?
                What target type?
                How many hits to pass?
