Anyone tried the Liger Gun Belt from Maxpedition?

I'm carrying a m&p9c. I forgot to add, how much bigger should I get the belt? My current size36 belt fits on the last whole. If I get any fatter, the belt will not fit anymore. Should I go with 38 or 40? 40 Seems way too big for me but the holster takes a good chunk of space. Hopefully that last part makes sense.

22 oz empty............if you need a skinny belt per personal dress code, you need a really good belt. Otherwise a 1.5 inch to 1.75 inch of any type would probably do it.

Try "the beltman" or milt sparks. I have both and LOVE them. Well worth the wait. Either way just make sure you get a belt designed to carry a gun. It makes all the difference.

I use a Milt Sparks for dress. I have some custom belts made for rugged wear, too. The thing to watch for is you want the belt about 4 inches bigger than your normal size, heavy enough not to warp or sag, wide enough not roll, but not too wide so the average IWB holster clips don't fit.

My custom belts I have made at a saddleshop in Arizona. The gal there knows how to make decent belts. Find a good leather goods maker and you should be set if yo udon't want to pay Milt Sparks prices.

As to Galco,etc. Eh, can't speak about them or their quality. Most likely good for most people, but if you travel like I do and need a variety of good belts for different circumstances, get a good MS belt or have one made just for your needs. (I OWB conceal carry a lot)

Those are awesome belts, but very useful for those that need a 'dress' belt.

I carry IWB and use a Crossbreed 1.5" leather gun belt. It works ridiculously well.

i suggested "Beltman" belts. what really sticks out in my memory... was speaking with the "Beltman" himself on the phone. he was extremely patient with me; assisted me over the phone in ensuring i got the correct size belt when i ordered.

My current belt is old so I decided to try it out inside the house to see how it would fail if I ever tried to carry. It warped like hell . What belt would you recommend to me? I usually wear slacks and dress shirts so I want something black and "dressy?" looking. I just picked up the galco concealment owb holster that I'm trying out in the house to loosen it up. Should I try a Bianchi belt? Or a galco belt? Any specific places to buy from at good prices? Also, good techniques to loosen up the holster a bit. Thanks

I have a couple belts made for concealing holsters, but frankly don't care much for them. They are just too stiff and uncomfortable for my needs.

After trying 5 or 6 different kinds of belts the ones I prefer are just plain jane 1.75" belts from Bass Pro. I think they are $25-$29 and are made of extra thick and stiff leather.

They work very well with my Comptack Minotaur IWB holster. While they are thicker and stiffer than most belts you'll find off the rack, they are still more flexible than the Blackhawk or other belts designed for this purpose.

Where those "carry" belts would come in handy is with OWB, where the extra stiffness would be needed to help support the weight of the gun and holster. In IWB, the rig is held in tight against your body, which takes most of the load.

I have a couple Serpa OWB holsters, but found I prefer the better concealability of IWB. This just works better for me as it get's very warm in the IE and I often wear just a long t-shirt or Hawaiian type shirt.

That's my .02, so it might depend on what kind of holster you prefer.

I have one of these for sale in the marketplace. I like these as well. Sometimes I have to dress up, and this look very nice. In jeans or khakis I wear an Amish belt.

Agreed.

I wear a couple nice 1.5" handmade western belts for IWB.

They are substantial, but still much more flexible than the Alessi gun belt I have.

I could attach a boat anchor to that Alessi, OWB.

Or my 92fs, which is about the same.
