I seriously love the idea of Top Shot. Only if it were fair and the best man won not based off politics.

That being said fair competition tv shows would he cool. Like when the mitary channel has the sniper competitions throughout all branches, and federal and local LEO.
A Gun and acessories review show that goes over each gun fairly and unbiased would be awesome. Seems when sponsors come in, that all goes out the window. Also a basic home defense show would be awesome. The one on Spike is good, but it's biased to ruger and I would like them to do more stuff on techniques like shooting styles, grips etc.

Put these people on TV. Tell them to change nothing.

IB4 mall ninja's would be awsome, but i think it would be better as a movie

i really like the sound of what pacifico23 said, i saw the military sniper cometition, as well as conceal carry school, both were pretty awsome

Sadly, what gun enthusiasts would like to see on TV won't draw the advertisers and ratings to keep the show on TV.

Drama and controversy keep shows on the air.
Even Ice Road Truckers and Ax Men have to push it to keep viewers by showing actual or animated accidents and throwing in a comment that makes you think someone is going to die.
Picture of tree falling, cameraman running, guys yelling. Narrator "Tomorrow is the last day for one of the Ax Men"

Ya... they got a job offer close to home and quit.

Network TV? Wouldn't make it half a season.
Cable, like the DSC/HST family? Maybe a season.
Outdoor channel? It could go a year or two, but who watches OLN?
The only thing more boring than watching "dry" target shooting to a non-gunner is golf to a non-golfer, or bass fishing.

It's such a niche market, you'd have a longer run doing Webcasts and selling DVDs.
