    Hot Damn I Love Texas

So far I have done 1 FTF transfer in a Cracker Barrel parking lot and doin' another to morrow at a Starbucks. No 10 wait, no FFL, and no damn gub'mint sticking their nose in it. Just me and another private citizen doing business. Then I am taking my proceeds to pick up a new Springfield Loaded, and taking it home that day.

    HA HA!

Just like the old days in CA.

I'll be moving to Colorado soon so I'll be in the same boat!

California USED to be that way but then came the DEMOcrat's. Still, I was stationed in Texas and just could not adapt to the weather. Sunset Beach is so nice now that you have Jesse and Sandra.

I thought I had my wife convinced to move there, now it's at least another 3 years.

Being from Arkansas, I understand your excitement! I still can't get used to it here. I refused to buy guns here for the longest time - miss the bubba transfer laws: dude looks legit, has the money, wants the gun - sold.

The first gun I ever bought for myself was a used 1911. Told the clerk I wanted it, 15 minutes later walked out with it in a Walmart plastic bag.

Needless to say, 2 months 'til I move from here. I've enjoyed it, met some great people, and will always have a soft spot for it (and probably always peruse Calguns), but damn if I'll ever buy a gun here again.

Side note: Calguns is perhaps the best general discussion/gun sales forum in the country. Hats off to that.

I hope you enjoy shooting your guns dripping wet in that texas humidity and heat.

I know what you mean! I've had some problems with impulse-buying guns since I moved here.

Hey, if you aren't on there already, hit texasguntalk.com. We've got some good members over there, and it's only getting better.

Baja Oklahoma? What? Oklahoma is righfully a part of Texas. I think we might be taking it back when we secede.

Haha, not all of TX is humid. I know the coast is, but San Antonio is really dry. And 110 isn't that bad when it's low humidity.
