When he was arrested he was found in posession of illegal weapons-- fully auto aks/loaded pistol/illegal drugs.
He was put on jsa probation in 1992 as freshmen for alleged rape in dorms. Then popped up again in link posted above couple years later.

I graduated from Davis in 2005. I feel for you guys there. Regardless if you guys can get an official club set up, don't let the politics of that city discourage you. Get together and shoot! If you guys need someone to come talk and help out with basic instruction, I'd love to help. I'm studying law at McGeorge in Sacramento so I've got a busy schedule but would love to help out new shooters on the weekends. Good luck!

The best thing about doing my undergrad at UCD was going out to the sticks to plink, hunt ducks, hunt ringnecks and reduce the rabbit population.

Otherwise, the town sucked (still does), the school was so-so, and the good fun was all outside the city limits.

Hey, glad to hear it!

I sent in the final (as far as I know) paperwork last monday, and they said it'd take 2 weeks to be reviewed and whatnot. Several days ago, I got an email from the person in charge of campus student organizations, asking for clarification regarding:
-firearms on campus
-what "recognized" training publications would be used.

To which I replied:
-no firearms on campus
-NRA publications used where applicable

So, I do believe it is proceeding smoothly sofar (she said she noticed I placed safety and legality as high priorities), and since I haven't gotten any hatemail, my fingers are still crossed.

She isn't in the office again until at the earliest tomorrow, but this is our break, so I imagine it'd be more like next week.

I will post if anything changes, I suppose.

Also, since it costs $35 to open an account for reserving rooms for meetings, and we will have to register the club again for next year in May, I decided to forgo opening an account until then. So, for this quarter, meetings will probably be outside or in public areas haha. At least the weather will be nice

Please forgive the long delay in confirming the registration of Davis Recreational Marksmanship. We greatly appreciate the information provided in your response and the assurance that the group understands firearms are never allowed on campus. We have received all necessary approvals and your registration is approved.

So, anyway, here is the FB group link. It is...lacking in features, but at least provides a method of keeping track.

I just saw the link and I am quite surprise to see this happened to UCD. As an alumni I wish this were formed when I was still in Davis. YSA is my favorite shooting range even though I live in Sac.
