    Arizona

Hey everybody going to Arizona in 2 weeks for a wedding in the Phoenix area. Will be there for 3 days. We're going to be driving there so I know I'm gonna take my babies to play with. My dilemma now is should I concealed carry while in AZ or should I LOC. Hmmmmm..............suggestions???? Also if anyone knows any good restaurants in Phoenix and can suggest a few, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

ETA: Also if anyone knows any good gun stores I can visit while there in town.

Enjoy the trip. I love my time in Arizona.

Don't know any restaurants in Phoenix. If you're going to be in Prescott, Murphy's is excellent. It's my regular dinner place when I'm in Prescott.

BTW, please be advised that carrying in an establishment that serves alcohol is a "no-no" without a permit recognized in Arizona (constitutional carry notwithstanding).

I went to "Bella Luna" last weekend, it was amazing italian food. The Calimari was awesome, and the Cappelini Arselli was great. My brother got a veal shank that was the best I have ever had. It's just north of the 10, on N. Litchfied Rd.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

This. Plus if you open carry everyone will know you are a visitor from CA.

ETA: Just a reminder, you may not enter a place where alcohol is served while carrying without a permit.

"Did I say "republic?" By God, yes, I said "republic!" Long live the glorious republic of the United States of America. Damn democracy. It is a fraudulent term used, often by ignorant persons but no less often by intellectual fakers, to describe an infamous mixture of socialism, miscegenation, graft, confiscation of property and denial of personal rights to individuals whose virtuous principles make them offensive." - Westbrook Pegler

I'm a little confused. Are you allowed to carry concealed in Arizona without a license?

Apply for a resident ID right now so you can buy up a storm when your there, and sell everything to us when you get back.

I am from AZ, have relatives there. I am told that the exchange of gunfire is increasing. My experience is that weirdo's (and others) will taunt you; prevent your access to a parking spot, pull in your lane to block your turn. I know they are just waiting for you to come up to their car and ask them what the hell they are doing...meanwhile your looking at the business end of a HG.

That's an odd statement. I open carry often and I live here. With the weather warming up I am seeing much more open carriers lately. By much more I mean I have seen 3 in the last week, 1 at Safeway, 1 at Walmart, and 1 with a P99 attached to his laptop case.

Well, just different experiences, I guess. Around here, people just don't open carry. Certainly not just to walk around town. Going to the range, out into the desert, or something like that, that's another matter.

When you do see it around town, the chances are overwhelming that it's a visitor or new resident, doing it just because they can. How do I know that? Aside from dress, manners, license plates, etc., they say so. I'm not saying OC is bad, just that at least around here, it's a giveaway.
