Basically its a show for those in the business so you can't buy anything. It's been discussed in this thread any you may get in if you are creative.

Actually there is lots of stuff you can buy there. Many have "show deals" that can be purchased. Others are for show only. Mostly manufacturers are looking for dealers to place quantity orders.
Some manufacters are more than happy to sell singles and have them shipped to your FFL. Again they may have special show prices too.
Mostly the shot show is cool because you can see and handle everyones stuff. Even the cool stuff only the LEO's and military gets to play with. The H&K booth is very cool.
You can also get a ton of free swag. Posters, pins, patches, sticker, pens etc from every manufacturer. It is also big. You can't see everything in one day. It's like going to the mall and everything is gun or hunting related.Comment

The Show is just amazing!!! Seriously, there's so much stuff to see that you can hardly believe it! Even if you are not a FFL or member of the trade if you can go I would suggest you go! The Best part is that the Show is in Las Vegas, so you better be prepared to walk during the day and gamble/drink/ and have fun during the night!Originally posted by fred1814has any one been to one. how is it. can you buy anything. do you have to be a member of any club or something. i want to go i would i be able to get in.

Even if you are not a FFL, you can actually buy a lot of the stuff at the Show. Granted, almost all of them will only sell you their products until the last day of the Show. Last year, I got a case for one of my rifles, a range bag, electronic ear muffs and laser unit for a Walther P-99. Companies like Cold Steel will sell you their knives but they get so crowded it's almost impossible to get the knife you want. Other companies like Suntor (watches) will even save you the watch you want if you give some money in advance.
What you can expect of the show:
-Obviously to walk and walk a lot!!!
-To get at least 40 pounds of catalogs.
-To meet a lot of nice people that share the same interest as you. Some of them have way to much knowledge about firearms..
-To get a lot of freebies, i.e. t-shirts from Springfield and Para-Ordnance, cleaning products from Remington, Birchwoodcasey, Radians and Kleenbore. stickers, playing cards are some of the stuff that I got on the last Show.
-And as "Yar" just said, you will be able to handle some really neat stuff that is only reserved to military and LEA.

Register by Nov 30, 2005 $15.00
Register from Dec 1, 2005 to Jan 13, 2005 $25.00
Register Jan 14, to Show $50.00
How old are you? Are you able to get to Las Vegas for the show? Where do you live? Do you have a valid resale license? If you would PM me this info alnog with a phone number and good time to call you, evenings and weekends are best, I will look at getting you a pass.
Everyone at the show represents a company. A pass I get you would be from a Shooting and Training Range in Reno. I want to make sure you would conduct yourself as a mature adult while walking around the show with our name on your c chest. Once you take off the badge you can do anything you want because "Everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas".Comment

There are tons of passes available for "friends of the show" give them a call and they will usually try to accomodate you. The show is not for FFL's only, it's for anyone in the Shooting, Hunting, or outdoor trade. I went last year and reccomend it highly as you can get a good idea of what direction manufacturers are leaning and by talking to the right people you can actually have some influence. The NRA Annual Meetings are much the same thing and most manufacturers are there as well although with much less freebies.-Tim-Comment

I'll be there all four days. Usually I just go for 2 or 3 days but I always leave without seeing everything so this time its all 4 days. I'll be staying at Stateline as I really don't care for Vegas in general. Plus the rates are cheaper at Stateline.Comment
