A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. "Hear that?" you say. "That's dynamite, baby."

        That was great! Thanks.

Let's add a few things here...
In the European theater, he was probably in his 20's.
Sixty-some years later, he's making those kinds of shots, at age 84!
Even if he deer hunted or shot competition, steady hands are needed and that's not easy at 84. His eyesight is likely a lot less sharp too.

He's given a "new" (to him) rifle and in 3 rounds, bingos the gong at 300 yards. That's better than I could do. Same thing with the Rem 700 at the 1,000 yard line. I certainly never want him seriously mad at me!

God Bless these men who bravely fought for their country and our freedoms. God Bless their families too.

5-inch group at 1,000 yards. Damn fine shooting.
(My father was a bombardier - inside 150 yards from 30,000 ft was good)

Awesome video! Thanks so much for that post. I remember than high power .30-06 rifles in the 60s and 70s were getting 1MOA groups at 600 yards with their hand loaded match ammo. I can only wonder what the accuracy of that Springfield was back in the day with whatever military ammo it used.............

Very cool! Thanks a lot for sharing. I wish more people my age had as much respect for those men and women that were involved in World War II as I do. To storm those beaches, jump out of those planes, and more acts of courage than I can ever dream of is just amazing to me. I have nothing but respect and thankfulness for all the men and women who have ever served our country. Thank you for your service.

Apparently he wasn't RAF, they were lucky to get 1 out of 5 bombers in the target area, ad something like 1 in 8 bombs within 5 miles of the target!
Which bomber was he crew on?

My Dad is a WWII vet, and he's still with us. Although he's been in the hospital for a couple of days he should be home in a day or two.

                        Amazing shooting.

That's because the bloody fools bombed in the dark!
Dad was in B-17's in Italy/Europe. Didn't talk too much about it until after I was 17. He had some fun over there, mixed with some gruesome moments. Sadly, he's no longer with us.
