            I am always wondering why, if semi-automatic weapons are indeed "then why does the military not abandon those inaccurate, less deadly F/A versions.

              I remember during the Elian Gonzales incident, after Elian was "retrieved" by the feds (and the famous picture of him was all over the news everywhere), Chris Mathews couldn't stop bellowing "BANANA CLIP" every time he mentioned the fact that the agent appeared to have his gun pointed at Elian and his relative in the closet.

              Fundamentally Chris's show (and his persona) thrives on angst and drama and that never, EVER bodes well for a discussion about guns that has anything to do with facts.
