Thanks Tonelar! I'll probably take you up on that. I should have my own SxS shotgun shortly, but loaner 6 guns and a rifle would help a lot.

Thanks, I was shaking my head and laughing because I had been doing a lot of shotgun reload "practice" that day.

I just started here with the Sunnyvale Regulators. Great group of folks and the sport is a ton of fun.

It doesn't have to be expensive to start. You can get a beater used side by side for under $200, a Rossi lever gun for $350-400, and a pair of used Rugers for about $700. If you want to shoot can n ball revolver, you can get a pair from Cabelas for $400 total. You can get used gun leather cheaply on ebay.

A lot of folks spend that much (about $1200) on a single nice 1911. When you look at it that way, the sport is not too expensive.

And you HAVE to reload to make it cost effective. Use Trailboss and cast your own bullets to bring the cost down to under 10 cents a round.

I was in the same spot a few yrs back. Started with a '94 and 44 mag Bounty Hunters. I wanted to consolidate my calibers. Switched to .44 specials in my old pistols and kept calling Navy and Cimarron until I located a '66 in the same caliber.
My newest project has me hunting down the parts to make a lever gun feed .44 Russians reliably.

            Hey all,
I'll be joining soon, most likely with the Escondido Bandidos. Gotta get the gear first, but I'm really looking forward to it.
