I remember it well. Never used it because at the time all I had was an "old school" Colt Commander that I was pretty sure wouldn't feed it. Thankfully most modern JHP's feed OK in modern firearms. It used to be a pain in the butt finding out which round would feed reliably, not to mention expensive.

Wow I haven't heard that term from anyone but me in years... All I can say is that I love it.. AND never want to be on the receiving end of it. IIRC it was a 230gr bullet though?Comment

I know of the term for that round. I had assumed it was out of production and it is. Not sure if still offered as a componet. I had some of those loaded by corbon in a +P .45acp load I used in a S&W mod 625 revolver. I was leery of using them in automatics due to the bullet profile.
I think I had some that corbon loaded in a .45lc loading too. I'm only in my mid 30's but I doubt most people my age or younger have heard of this term or seen the ammo.
Reminds me of 70's and 80's gun stuff like Star PD's, Smolts/Smythons.Fuzzy Farrant grips,Super vel, ect.Comment
