If these magazines hold more than 10 rounds, then you CAN NOT legally take possession of them (as magazines). The only way you can accept them is as rebuild kits. In other words, they must be disassembled prior to you receiving them and must remain that way (disassembled) while in the state of California.

They can only be reassembled into magazines when outside this state. They can also be used to build magazines that hold 10 rounds or less. Those 10 round magazines would be legal for use inside this state.

That's a lifetime supply in the AF.
It cannot be inherited, nor can it ever be purchased.
You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and cannot be lent.
You alone and our own have earned it with...Your sweat, blood and lives. You own it forever.

          No.

He can legally receive the magazines as hicaps.

The giver, however, is breaking the law.

Look at the OP's post history (all three of them at this point).....Same M.O.: he will ask a very "odd" question (2/3), and then won't show up with any more replies. I say

Therefore, 20 and 30 round mags are indeed high caps.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Receiving them would involve him in the criminal conspiracy to illegally transfer hi caps, so still illegal.
