    Mag transport question

So I will be heading to Vegas next weekend and would like to pick up some rebuild kits. Can I carry them on the plane with me fully disassembled?

Unlikely. The TSA will probably put them in the "firearm parts" category and those are a no no.
There are no great men. Just great challenges which ordinary men, out of necessity, are forced by circumstance to meet.

Ask the air carrier, but I don't see why not.

There's a UPS store a couple miles south of Mandalay Bay on Vegas Blvd. If you hit The South Point you went too far.

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

Put them in checked baggage... I am attending a Magpul pistol course in April out of state. You can take weapons, mags, and even ammo as log as you check it in baggage a follow the airlines guidelines in doing so.

I don't think it'll be a problem, just as long as you don't try to carry them on

Question is would the vegas shops still sell you mags so you can turn it into rebuilds as you're a kommi resident? I've heard of gunshow mag sales to kommi residents for the purpose of rebuilds that didn't go so well.

If you try and carry them on and TSA stops you, you will have to toss them. Check your bag.

just googled it and under the TSA web site it says just make sure the bag is checked in and that you mention it when checking in the bag. Make sure you follow thier procedure for transporting magazines. should be GTG. thanks guys!

My bro last year went to vegas and he stopped in at the Gun Store in vegas and he said he had bout some rebuilds for his AR. He just had to sign a waiver saying shipping high cap mags were illegal but he was still able to buy them.
