As I understand the laws, with a BB, you cannot have more than a 10 round magazine. With a RAW, you don't need the BB and run whatever.
With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

You can also run legally owned standard capacity (large capacity in the eyes of CA-DOJ) magazines in a featureless build.

          who is this "guy"?

          extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence

if its his land i guess he can make up any rules he wants to apply to your visit

but there is no law against use or possession of any detachable magazine

His range, his rules. The is no law against using legal ly own +10 round mags in a featureless rifle but that doesn't mean a private range can't make up their own rules.

OP clearly states he has a BB on his AR, so no, you cannot use any magazines with a capacity greater than 10rds, or else, you have manufactured an assault rifle.

Unless you put a flash hider or forward pistol grip on your Kel-Tec SU-16 (trust me, I have seen this more than once at the range), then you have a featureless rifle. Featureless rifle with hi-cap mags are legal.

How about the name of the range so we may avoid givin them our business.

I am not one to criticize grammar, since I think to do so is quite rude.

However, I do have two suggestions:

                    1) Some of us "old timers" have trouble with the new twit-lingo. It makes it easier for us to "help others out" when those people use non-Twitter grammar.

                    2) Please please please please learn the firearms laws! Every time someone gets arrested, there are a lot of things that "The Coalition" has to do in order to make sure the arrest does not result in a poor appellate case. That is not lulzy for us. It is EPIC FAIL. Start here please: http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/Main_Page

Some people seem a smidge confused on this topic. While it is not illegal to possess and use "high capacity" magazines, it IS illegal to use them in a featured (e.g. bullet-buttoned) rifle unless it's a registered assault weapon.

The confusion comes about due to the fact that using a 10+ mag in a BB rifle has nothing to do with magazine capacity laws; it has to do with the assault weapons law. By using a 10+ mag in a BB rifle you're breaking the same law that you're trying to follow by using a BB.

it is not illegal to use or possess any large capacity "detachable" magazine
