Zins is a multi-time national shooting champion. I can't believe that his drive to win would have allowed him to throw the match that way.

George, on the other hand, in his series-long goal to get a pat on the head by the marines, definitely threw the competition.

I can't believe so many people are buying the B.S. about George throwing the shot and giving up the chance to win 100k for some guy he met only a few weeks before. George missed the pistol shot, he missed the Sharps shot and he even missed the AR shot at 75 yards (Which was the easiest shot in my opinion).

He didn't throw any of the shots....he missed and tried to salvage the situation by saying "I meant to do that.". Yeah right....you meant to give up 100k after going through the whole competition.

And for the record, Colby isn't just "That guy from Survivor".
He's an avid pistol / rifle shooter and he KNOWS his s*** about a wide variety of firearms. He's great IMO at hosting this show, because he actually understands the "reality" concept, (he's done it 3 separate times on his own) and he loves and repects firearms and shooting. And as mentioned, he's a hell of a nice guy to work with.

I'm not saying he isn't a nice guy, but this season was bad enough with the bromance bunch and then you add Colby's irritating commentary.

I guess this show isn't my cup of tea. Besides the bromance, I couldn't stand how some of the elimination challenges were biased against certain competitors (i.e. Athena and the long Tommy, Maggie and her bow, and finally Jamie vs. Shotgun master). Of course, I'm not gonna go watch Sons of Guns either. I couldn't stand it after one episode.

Admittedly, there is a slight possibility that I will watch season 3. The challenges are actually creative.

And even if it were a Burnett production, Jeff Probst is the MC for Survivor.

Sounds and looks like Colby spent WAY too much time alone on deserted islands with Probst

He's actually a really nice guy.. into guns and cars. Here is his '69 Camaro we shot for the magazine.

Sweet! Wildwood with Hydroboost? Don't see that very often in non-supercharged applications.
Interesting he stuck with the small block. The gauge pods are a nice touch... gets everything you need without destroying the value of the stock dash, though the custom console eliminated the stock engine gauges.

And in addition to Survivor and Top Shot, he's done commercials for Schick and has been on a number of TV shows including Curb your Enthusiasm and Rachel Rae.

Here's a clip of Colby shooting his Glock 17 at Taran Bulter's range.
He doesn't shoot competitively as far as I know, but he's no doubt quick and accurate. I'm rather impressed with his shooting ability.

Colby is good at his job I doubt the producers would find any one better. It would be awful to turn on TS and see some cute girl type.

Wouldn't be so bad if she knew her stuff and could shoot the hairs off a 'dillo's back at 50 yards.

But I agree. If they were concerned about ratings and wanted to spice it up, they'd bring in one of the weathergirls.

I don't think theres any way he could have missed those targets that much. I mean especially since he drilled the first three plates in fast, theres no way his aim was off by that much after that. Who knows... idk, is a fun show to watch regardless of things being faked or whatever. A good chunk of the season had decent shooting matches...
Did you guys see the "Behind the Bullet" special? Gunny says he got wicked tunnel vision during the 10/22 portion, and just couldn't see crap. Says its the first time he's ever experienced it. He was cussing up a storm at the very end there. They show him fumbling a bit during the mag reload of the 10/22 as well. Clearly just was in the process of melting down.

As for Colby, he's not there for us guys. You've got pretty guns to look at. He's there for the potential women viewers :-)

Also in the behind the scenes thing, they showed quite a bit of footage of an epic Nerf gun battle. Looked really fun.

There's a bonus episode featuring Colby's pearly white teeth. Don't miss it.

Anybody else notice that the gun sound effects are the same no matter what they shoot? .22 is the same sound as a .45.

Oh, and my wife got a kick out of the fact that competitors have posted in this thread.
