i don't need to clean my AK but if it was SHTF or some kind of warzone you better believe I am going to clean it at least every few days. Not too hard to break it down quickly and wipe it down.

If it's a personal defense weapon, keep it clean. No, it doesn't hurt some guns to clean them "too much". Yes, your AK can and will jam at the worst possible moment. Yes, you and/or your family will be dead when this happens and St. Peter will ask you why you didn't keep your $#!t clean.
