    Want:
    -Lots o' lanes
-Ability to use centerfire rifles inside (maybe with a muzzle velocity requirement)
-Perhaps, some longer lanes? Depends on the place I suppose.
    -Viewing windows
-Fair selection of rentals and whatnot
-EFFECTIVE AIRSCRUBBERS or whatever the vents are; i've been to well-ventilated and poorly-ventilated ranges alike and must say the well-ventilated ones are teh awesome.
-make the lanes...wider? i dunno, sometimes they feel as if you've not much room to maneuver.
-put the target pulley switch at chest height, not down by my knees
-maybe have a couple of small chairs? Every indoor range i have been to, has a space on the lane bench where you could conceivably rest the barrel of a rifle...it is at navel height. i cannot use this; though I could if they had one or two folding chairs they could loan out
    -a bathroom available to patrons
    -maybe a vending machine
    -nice attitude

    Don't want:
    -poor ventilation
    -claustrophobic environment
    -7 yard lanes
    -dirty rentals
    -$10 .22LR hahaha

That enough of a list? haha

I see your votes, if your shooting handgun, would you want a lane next to someone shooting 50 cal? Should large rifle be on one side and separated by a sound wall?

Whats a good range width? Most are about 3 feet.

Conceivably yes, but I didn't want that vote to somehow conflict with the 100yd on all lanes vote. Furthermore, it'd be nice if there was a way to divide the lanes in a fluid fashion, IE depending on how many people are there, shooting what.

Like, I wouldn't want the rifle section to be full, and the handgun section to be empty, and me unable to use my rifle.

Also, out of curiosity, how does one make a .50 BMG capable indoor range? I'd think it'd knock everyone over and rattle the foundation haha.

EDIT: Ok I see you said "large rifle" and for that I agree. Like, there would be a section limited to big bore rifles separated from the other mixed handgun/rifle lanes? Sorta like when the .454 Casull and .50AE guys are segregated from the general population at some ranges?

I have found one company that has a 50 BMG bullet trap. They build them for Gov and LE.

Haha wow; must be the glacis plate of an M1A2~!

If an indoor range were to hypothetically have such a bullet trap, and hypothetically offer a .50 BMG rifle to rent, it's probable I would hypothetically bring as many people as possible to such a location

For me, at least, and I know some of my friends feel the same way:

You can shoot a handgun at any indoor range. Those ranges are a dime a dozen. Hell, when I am in SoCal, I live within 15 minutes of 2-3 places like that.

But, urban areas=no rifle ranges for miles. I'd really like to see an accessible indoor range with rifle capabilities, because frankly, a new handgun range is not really anything new at all.

That is why I am looking at a 100 yards. Its your basic measurement for scoping in a rifle. Gives you a challenge for fun, minus waiting for a cease fire and walking down range. I don't know of any indoor range in CA that has 100 yd rifle.

I'd like to see an indoor range that sold ammo at the actual price it would cost anywhere else. I hate forgetting to bring ammo to the range and having to buy it there. I mean come on, 30 bucks for 100rd WWB 9mm? It would be a great range that didn't price-gouge.

Asking for all that and paying 10 bucks like some ranges is not feasible! If you could have most of your list. What would be a fair 1 time rate. Not a membership rate or frequent shooter.

I will have to check that out. They allow rifle? Do you and other shooters like that range? I think Walmart is 23-24 bucks for 100 rd WWB. You want it for Walmart price? Would you buy range reloads?

I wouldnt worry too much about a 50bmg capable 100yd range. Not many shooters have them and 100yds is just a waste of 50cal. But for other rifles yes an indoor 100+yd would be nice. Imo, 15-20$/day would be fair and membership discounts. Frequent shooter miles?

I've never been there personally, but my buddies love P2K. They do allow rifles. Main thing that stood out to me (from my friends telling about P2K) is their customer service is outstanding. That's always a big plus with indoor ranges as the other local ranges are hit or miss with customer service.

Walmart prices for ammo would be great! If there was an indoor range with walmart prices, I'd use them exclusively. When ammo is too expensive at the range I usually do prefer to buy range reloads. Quality is a big factor though. If the range reloads shoot really dirty, I usually won't buy them again.

I would pay between $10-20 for my dream range. The range can make the money selling accessories, gun smithing, gun sales, ammunition, training classes, clubs, food, drinks, and cigars.....

If a place existed that had everything I asked for I would pay for a membership. I would take my friends and family there. I would tell people on the street about it. I would hang out there once a week. Maybe more if it was close to my home.
