I spent many years in Stockton. We used to call the Gangbangers there "Oakland Lite!" They dont have much heart and are easily punked when I lived there.

It could be different now, but I doubt it. The trick is to be in predatory mode all the time and like any typical bully, they do their best to avoid you...or pay the consequenses!

And when the more experienced (and dangerous) GB's come in from Oakland, they tend to be smarter and know they are not in their home territory. They tend to avoid trouble as well unless you try to punk them.

Stockton is not bad if you stay away from the bad neighborhood..ie South Stockton. I grew up in Stockton and often visit there. If you are talking about BJ's brewery then you are okay. Never heard of BJ Pizza...BJ's is located on a very busy street in a newly developed center by the Mall. Its safe there! No need to worry.

Like outbrake just said. It is in a very nice area. Lots of shopping center, mall, and delta college. Also a fire station and delta college police around that area

According to google it is in or around BJ restaurant on pacific ave. So no worry about that place as being dangerous.
