Arg! How much ammo is enough?

I've never been in a situation like ab962 before.
    How much is enough?

Is this like asking a crack addict how much crack?
Is this like asking a politician how much money is enough?
Is this like a kid in a candy store with a fist full of cash?

you can never have enough ammo
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

When you have trouble closing the door to your BOXCAR, you have enough.

Only when you have ALL of the ammo will it be enough.

This has been a popular question on CalGuns. It's posted every month or two.

A = How much ammo do you use in a year? B = How long will you live? C = How long will your children live?

(AxB) + (AxC) = Enough Ammo.

If the EOTWAWKI falls ammo will be a central source of wealth. How rich do you want to be if EOTWAWKI? If you have too much Ammo Wealth will you draw the attention of the roving cannibal armies? If the roving cannibal armies come to your house will you have enough ammo?

for hoarding purposes... every two weeks i add 1 or 2 boxes of ammo to the heap. over time, the pile grows.

Rate of fire at the range X 2 hours at the range X 3 times per week X 52 weeks in a year X 3 year supply = ammo on hand at all times.

                        My indoor range is 1 shot per second X 7200 (seconds per 2 hours) X 3 X 52 X 3 = 3,369,600

I'm still trying to reach my goal...

If you still have cash in your pocket or haven't reached the limit on your credit card(s), you don't have enough ammo.

It all depends on how much you shoot. You may not shoot much now but later on , for whatever reason, you decide to raise the round count. Are you going to have enough ammo to do this? if you don't have enough on hand, are going to be able to buy the amount that you need? Future is unpredictable but having more than you need is better than not having enough of what you need.
