Not so much as un-American, but more like unprotected. Some people are just so closed minded when it comes to firearms. Until a time comes when they wish they had one. I have quite a few family members that don't have a gun... but they are afraid of them... and to be perfectly honest they shouldn't own one... Most people now days don't have any idea how to raise children and to have a gun in the house when your not smart enough to raise children is just stupid...
