    Great information here is the updated link http://www.courts.ca.gov/xbcr/partne...im_juryins.pdf page 314 of the pdf and 235 of the document.

    In my understanding it is only to protect from great bodily harm and death. But according to the document it includes rape and maimed and robbed. And you believe that deadly force was necessary to defend against that danger.

    Remember if they turn and run you are no longer in life threatening danger. Read the document it is good reading.

      If you shoot someone (whether they die or not) to protect property, you'll be in a world of trouble.
