Build it if you can , Buy a complete upper and assemble the lower , Its easy as pie and will save you some money. I have built 3 ar15s for myself and helped assemble others as well. I have about the same in all 3 of mine than your going to spend on one. I built using used uppers and bcg thats why mine are alot cheaper. 2 of mine are very reliable and pretty accurate , My pistol is not as reliable as my carbine and rifle, its picky and if you let it get dirty it jams. If you do not mind used then i would look around on here and places like ar15.com you can pick up used uppers , bcg and charging handle cheaply. I traded for all 3 of the uppers i have so that may be an option if you have stuff to trade.

Colt m16a1 complete upper ( dated to late 1960s ), Unknown used BCG , Sharps lower dpms lpk , A2 stock and a1 pistol grip. I have an a1 buttstock but i like the a2 better

Unknown used upper , post ban with pinned on muzzle brake removed , Now has a neat looking ak47 style muzzle brake on it. Sharps lower , DPMS lpk A2 stock
Ar15 pistol
Used 11.5" olympic arms upper with built in muzzle brake , Sharps lower , mix master lpk, no name buffer tube.
