When I rode for Lightning Express back in the day I wore them ALL THE TIME. Amazing the difference I felt towards the end of the day.

Also, if any of your new shooters are a little skittish, there's nothing wrong with doubing up (using plugs AND muffs). I recently shot with a new g/f who was flinching with just the muffs so we stepped back to the car and used both. Her experience and accuracy improved remarkably.

Definitely good advice. When I first started shooting I used just muffs. Then as I started shooting rifles more I went to just plugs.

Now I use plugs and electronic muffs turned up all the way, works great! These are the muffs I got:
The capitalist economic model is fundamentally flawed. It is not self sustaining, and can only maintain itself with constant growth. Obviously infinite growth is impossible, so the question is not whether the economy will collapse, but when.

Get your guns, ammo, and food while the stores still stock them. Prepare yourself now, because when the meltdown comes it will be too late.

Never been a fan of inner ear foam plugs, but I do wear then in addition to my outers for more solid hearing protection.

Summer times, i prefer foam plugs. Ear muffs get way too hot out there.
              In winter, vice versa.

Some people reuse 'em by washing it. Nothing wrong with it. Sure beats cigarette butt/cotton ear plugs.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

You can correct my spelling and grammar error anytime.
I welcome it. How else would I learn.

At indoor ranges or outdoor shooting loud guns (like a 50BMG) the sound can travel thru your head and into your ear more with plugs than with muffs. Best to use both plugs and muffswhen things are really loud.
