What was the process like? Was it easy to get it in your city, if not what was the problem? Is it worth having it? What kind of B/S do you have to deal with once you have it? And if you have other input or comments,it would be appreciated... Also to all who chime in, thanks in advance!

If you own Curio and relic FFL
Tags: None -
You don't "own" a C&R FFL, your a licensed collector of Curios and Relics. It is not a business like the other FFL's.There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Super easy.
Turn around from when I requested the ATF form to when I got my license was less than three weeks.I am a law enforcement officer in the state of Colorado. Nothing I post is legal advice of any kind.

What is the form or application order number for the Certificane of Eligibility? I already sent in a request for my C&R application.."Why don't all you crazy gun nuts take your guns and go start your own pro-gun country somewhere?"

I also want to get a license. But sorry to side track this thread, but i have a question.
I know that for long guns that are 50yrs + older, (generally fall under the C&R) i can buy it from anyone without going through an 07FFL.
But during a purchase does someone in the party need the C&R license?
e.g I would like to buy an M1 carbine from a buddy but neither of us have the license. Completely legal to do so correct?
The C&R license basically allows me to buy/trade/sell through state lines right? like i can order out of state and have them ship to my door, or i can ship an item to their door.-my brother once wrote to me " In the Marine Corps there is a saying,'The more you sweat in peace time the less you bleed in war'..."-

Spend a little time in the C&R forum and everything will make more sense to you. The process for both the C&R 03 FFL and California COE are both very easy. Get the COE too, and you will still be able to purchase handgun ammo after February from dealers that will honor the exemption.

Great thanks for the reply!
I've been looking around the C&R section a few times, but the thought never occurred to me to put a thread with my question there..I think my mind ran off somewhere....

Hold on, I always have a little rant about the COE. It only works in conjunction with the 03FFL which you're getting and gives you these perks.Spend a little time in the C&R forum and everything will make more sense to you. The process for both the C&R 03 FFL and California COE are both very easy. 1) Buy more than one handgun a month (modern and C&R)
2) Skip 10 day wait on 01FFL transactions of C&Rs only
3) Being able to have handgun ammo shipped to your house after February 1st, 2011.
Seeing as it costs around $100 for the COE, make sure that it's even worth it for you. For me personally it isn't. I can't afford more than one handgun a month, I only buy C&Rs out of state and have them shipped and I don't really buy much handgun ammo online.
I'm not saying to not get it, just make sure that it's worth $100 to you.
