    Miwall

Miwall is located of the grass valley HWY (49). Its on the way up to reno. When you hit Auburn take the grass valley HWY to Grass Valley. The best time to buy ammo from them is when they have a clearance sale,
. They do it 2 times a year. Call and ask them when the next one is. Round trip off HWY 80 it would add an hour to your drive time to Reno.

Bizzarre guns is a bunch of jerks. End of statement.

Silver State arms is great. Good people and fair prices. Lots to choose from.

The Gun Trader is good, but the people there will balk at you out loud if you want something they don't like and proceed to bash you. They had this Sweet UZI last time I was in there. Pretty good selection.

Sportsmans? Good prices, friendly staff, lots to choose from. Great place.

Carson Armory is in Mound House and they have lots of cool stuff.
And God said \"taketh your rifles, all of ye, all but those unto the nation of California, for exempt must their rifles be and the resth are forlorn.\" So sayth the Lord.

Oh yeah, I've been to the one in Utah, it's a really nice place! All the ammo is out on shelves where you can get at it, find what you want, and carry it up to the cash register.

That's suprising....you'd think they'd have a whole section of the store devoted to "Hi-Caps WITHOUT Date or Manufacturing Codes....Wink Wink Nudge Nudge Say No More".

Hey guys I feel your frustration. We had a pretty big audit with ATF. Seems to be the theme these days. In one of our discussions we were "advised" to not sell high cap mags to residents of California. We sell any CA legal product to CA residents but I really do not want to see ATF again for a long time. I am sorry but we have to go with what the auditor "advised" us to do.

For the person who said we "baulked" at them we did not mean to offend you. We just try and have a good time, be honest and I guess some times we make take things to far. We will watch that.

I take it you didn't realize this thread has been dead for over 4 years huh?

Also, regardless of what the "advisor" told you it is legal to sell hi cap mags to California residents; its illegal for us to bring them back.

Action Gun Works is NOT a gunstore! Don't waste your time going there to look for anything! Randy, the owner, is a friend of mine and he builds awsome custom rifles to order. But, his shop is just a machine shop. If you want a top of the line BR rifle, give him a call and see if he'll build one for you. Both he and his wife have set several BR world records.

Mark 4 and Strike on Kietzke is a good shop and the owner is a good friend of a friend of mine but, don't say that you're from California.

Silver State is a nice shop to stop and check out.

Bizzare Guns (if I'm thinking of the same place) will not ship a single shot .22lr rifle to Ca. and doesn't want anything to do with Californians.

I think Calico is a manufacting facility and does not have a store front. I could be wrong though.

DOJ got to Gun Trader a few years back and they refuse to sell any magazines to Californians or, at least that was their policy a few years ago.

Sportsman's Warehouse was the first large chain sporting goods store in Reno and has some good prices.

Cabella's is another big store in Reno. Well, it's actually outside of Reno next to Boomtown.

Scheel's is the newest and biggest chain store there. Don't even walk in unless you want to spend an hour or more shopping there. It's got a great selection of firearms.

One eyed Jack used to have a shop in Reno. I don't know if he is still there. I never went in because, I'd heard it was all overpriced. If his gunshow prices were any indication, he was very overpriced.

US Firearms academy in Reno is a really good Class III/NFA machine gun shop. I picked up lots of AR/AK stuff their on my last trip. Everybody in the store is packing too. lol

Check out US Firearms Academy near the Peppermill on East Moan Ln. If you are looking for tactical stuff, this is the place to go.
